In Reality, How Much Sense Does This Make? The government is paying how many people, on how many shifts through the shut down to harass this private business?

Not to mention government websites are being updated in regard to the shutdown. I have been truly saddened to see the number of videos and articles that indicate the "marching orders are" to make this as difficult as possible, one way or another on the citizens.
Whether it was actually ever stated in those terms, the evidence and the actions speak quite loudly!
